Nice little budget hotel. Location was great, in a quiet neighborhood, near Akihabara, few minutes walk to/from the station which has direct trains to/from Haneda, very convenient! The room was tiny, but I suppose those are the standards in Tokyo for this kind of hotels. Complimentary Japanese breakfast, which was different from what we are used to but worked. Although one morning just before 6:30 we went down for coffee and helped ourselves, only to notice people were queuing and waiting until the breakfast staff made this little ceremony before people could start, we didn't know about that, apologies for might having seemed disrespectful. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful.

Toyoko Inns are a large hotel chain who provide good accommodation for tourists. I enjoyed a lovely clean room with air-con and en-suite bathroom as well as a fridge and a kettle, so everything I needed for great stay in Tokyo. It is just five minutes walk from the local tube station and close to a couple of other stations as well, and within walking distance of the Akihabara district. The room was quite small, but this is the norm for Japanese hotels. The cost was a bit more than other hotels in which I stayed, but this is to be expected for the capital city. They provide a good buffet breakfast with a large selection of dishes.

Overall good and clean hotel. The breakfast was typical japanese which was a nice change, although the selection was quite limited: rice, miso soup, some kind of mean (teriyaki chicken or meatballs), some pickled vegetable, some steam vegetable and a limited selection of pastry. For picky eats this selection is not ideal. The beds were relatively big (but smaller than the western style beds), and the room had all the basic amenities, although was quite small. Seems this is part of a large chain and they are available all over japan.

By mistake I booked a smokin room and they changed it immediately. The rooms are small but clean and have everything you need for a nice stay in Tokyo. The bed was hard but surprisingly good for sleeping. 2-3 minutes by walk to one of the metro stations as well as 15 minutes to Akihabara and 20 to Tokyo station. Breakfast is a Japanese one - sweet omelette, meatball or sausage, soups, etc

I like their simple breakfast and also the service. They provided towel to change everyday. And room is clean and no smoking smell even is smoking room. Distance is abit tricky if u carry luggage, might to wall stairs. But not far, overall is great experience for me. One thing can improve is the mattress, have minor sound due to spring.
